Culture has allowed us to take ownership of truth.
We now say things like that’s my truth and that’s your truth.
But, truth is truth.
It just is.
You can’t have ownership over it. It’s not something you can possess. It stands alone.
And I often use the phrase: “my truth.”
But what I really mean is perspective. That’s my perspective of the truth.
And I think we comfortably put a name tag on truth to forego the hard work of considering what truth truly is.
It’s hard because truth doesn’t start inwardly. It’s bigger than us.
It makes us contemplate vastness and grandness and otherness. Beginnings and ends.
It begs us to seek God.
Because he is truth.
John 14:6.
He is God made flesh. He is the one who draws near to us even when we run away from him.
He is Son of the Living God, Jesus, the Christ.
So if you’re going after truth, go after God. Seek him and his righteousness.
Hope this helps!
